Muse – Live at Leeds University in 2001[HD FULL]






I absolutely love this 2001 gig, – it’s immense! What you’ll see below is Muse at their very best: no elaborate sets, no holding back, just pure undiluted rock and sweat. Bellamy literally ends up soaking wet by the end of the gig. Now, that’s true showmanship!

The whole set was not broadcast by MTV (they also played Citizen Erased, which I don’t have!), but the portion that’s available paints a pretty good picture of what took place that day.

Muse – Live at Leeds University in 2001[HD FULL]






I absolutely love this 2001 gig, – it’s immense! What you’ll see below is Muse at their very best: no elaborate sets, no holding back, just pure undiluted rock and sweat. Bellamy literally ends up soaking wet by the end of the gig. Now, that’s true showmanship!

The whole set was not broadcast by MTV (they also played Citizen Erased, which I don’t have!), but the portion that’s available paints a pretty good picture of what took place that day.

Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) is a 12-year-old living in Detroit when his mother Sherry (Taraji Henson) gets a job in China. Once in China, Dre misses home and wants to go back to the US. His mother tells him that China is home now, and he must learn to accept his new home. Dre begins to like China when he falls for his classmate Mei Ying (Wenwen Han). Dre's feelings for Mei Ying are seen by Cheng (Zhenwei Wang) the class bully who is out to stop it. Cheng puts Dre to the ground with ease using his Kung Fu training. Dre doesn't have a chance using the little karate that he knows, and Cheng proves it the next time he sees Dre. Dre is getting beaten badly when Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) the maintenance man, secretly a Kung Fu Master, stops the fight. Dre persuades Mr. Han to teach him Kung Fu. With this knowledge, Dre must now face down Cheng in a fight to win his respect in a Kung Fu tournament. Douglas Young (the-movie-guy)

Planet Of The Apes (2001)

Choosing to brave another classic of '60s cinema, Burton's Planet Of The Apes stripped back his actors' performances to attempt a sort of realism. "From the beginning, we decided we wanted to weave more ape mannerisms into it, how they move and react and how they think. Not that we wanted to make them ape apes, but we had to locate those areas where they connect to the human. When we were trying to figure out battle styles, we realised the way apes really move, they move like samurais in samurai movies. They've got this strength, and this quick and elegant but also sort of spastic macho kind of movement." Sadly, everyone hated the movie and its weird ending - but he's not wrong about the ape performances.
